Final

This was a really fun class, and I enjoyed all of the photoshop projects. The Web 2.0 projects took way too much creativity for me but I would definitely recommend this class to other people.

Glogster

Glogster is a fun program but it's difficult to edit some of it's features. If it was made more user friendly it would be a really useful program.

Pros and Cons of Facebook

Pros

• Communicate with friends without a phone.
• Keep up to date on everybody's birthdays or other celebrations.
• Organize things in your community or even wider, like the revolution in Egypt.

Cons

• Privacy settings are reset after an update.
• It's very easy for people you don't want to know something about you to find that thing.
• People lose the ability to communicate face to face.

Joe's Landscape

This was an interesting project that was a little frustrating at some times. Specifically the rainbow never wanted to take the right shape and always looked awkward. I cheated on the tree by just using a brush because I hate drawing anything, even if it's on the computer. Making the river was a really interesting way to use perspective.

Lightsaber

This project was a lot of fun to create. The glow effect on the light-saber was made using several different Gaussian blurs, and the separate glow on my face was made by using the color balance.

Creative Landscape

I worked really hard on this project' using everything I learned and putting in hours and hours of effort. This is probably the best creative landscape in the entire class. There are many layers in this photo such as a polar bear, snow, clouds, and a marshmallow.

Goanimate.com

Enjoy my animation.

Goanimate is an interesting website. There wasn't a large variety of English voices available although it was fun to see what all the other languages sounded like. I really want a subway footlong.

Picmonkey

Picmonkey was a fun site to use but I don't think it will be as useful after Halloween because many of the most interesting tools normally require you to pay and were free for a limited time. If I had the choice between using picmonkey or photoshop for a project I would probably use picmonkey because it is very user friendly and has many cool effects.

Alien Project

Instead of creating an alien I decided to go with a demon/Joker type of look. This was a very fun project and an interesting way to get creative. I think making my cranium look larger kind of messed up the picture, but I didn't know I was going to go with the Joker at that point. The eye shadow and lipstick looks awkward on screen but looked better in photoshop.

Photostory and Sony Music Studio

My Photostory is a representation of the past and current history of Egypt including famous landmarks and the revolution just this past year. I also included an Egyptian style beat using Sony Music Studio.  Sony Music Studio is a really fun and interesting program that has a HUGE amount of possibility, because of the large variety of sounds available in the program. Without photoshop photostory wouldn't as useful of a program because of the lack of editing available.

Underwater Photoshop Project

We practiced using different selection tools to add images onto an underwater background. I put in an anchor, but it looked too bright so I burnt part of it. I got a picture of a shark and made it eat a whale. The dolphin is crying watching his whale friend be eaten. I added the octopus then made an ink cloud out of its shadow. There is also some clown fish and a submarine in the background.

Zooburst

This is a book for all ages to enjoy.
Johnny discovers his love of horses and the Equestrian sport. He "visits" the Olympics and finds his inspiration. He finds the perfect horse for the job and trains tirelessly to get to the Olympics. Read to find out what happens next!

We used Prezi in class again to make a presentation after taking pictures of various elements of design throughout the school. It was really fun and interesting using the group aspect of Prezi.

We used a program called Pixton in class to create our own comics. I randomly came up with this idea frame by frame.

BigHugeLabs

 Bighguelabs.com seems like a more interactive and interesting version of photofunia.  I wanted to make a funny movie poster, and I liked that project from photofunia.

Tagxedo could be used to make some very cool T-shirt designs for different companies; or to add something interesting to a presentation in class.  Wordle could be also be used to make some interesting designs.
